Colposcope
The Melatech Colposcope is a CE-marked digital colposcopy system designed for gynaecological imaging in clinical settings. It integrates with Dermloop for structured case submission and specialist review.

Installation
Section titled “Installation”The Colposcope is a clinic-installed device. Installation is typically performed by a Melatech technician or trained clinic staff.
Physical setup:
- Attach the articulating arm mount to the procedure table or wall bracket
- Secure the Colposcope unit to the mount
- Connect the USB-C cable to the clinic workstation
- Power on
Calibration
Section titled “Calibration”Calibration should be performed:
- On first installation
- Monthly thereafter
- After any physical impact or transport
To calibrate:
- Open the Dermloop web platform on the clinic workstation
- Go to Devices → Colposcope → Calibrate
- Place the calibration target card in the field of view
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Calibration completes in under 2 minutes
Integration with Dermloop
Section titled “Integration with Dermloop”Once installed and calibrated, the Colposcope appears as a connected device in the Dermloop web platform.
To capture during a procedure:
- Open the case in the Dermloop web platform
- Click Capture from Colposcope
- The live feed appears on screen
- Click the camera icon or press the foot pedal to capture
- Images are added directly to the case

Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Device not detected by Dermloop
Section titled “Device not detected by Dermloop”- Check the USB-C cable is fully seated at both ends
- Try a different USB port on the workstation
- Restart the Dermloop web platform (refresh the browser)
- If the issue persists, check Devices → Colposcope → Diagnostics
Poor image quality
Section titled “Poor image quality”- Ensure calibration is up to date
- Clean the lens with the provided microfibre cloth
- Check illumination settings — increase LED intensity for darker tissue
- Verify no condensation on the lens (allow 10 minutes after cold storage)

Section titled “Service and support”The Colposcope is a clinical-grade device covered by Melatech’s standard hardware warranty (2 years, parts and labour).
